Kingswood Golf Course, Dingley Village

Labor’s green-lighting of the Kingswood Golf Course development is an absolute betrayal of Dingley Village. Planning Minister Sonya Kilkenny MP approved high-density suburban sprawl against the unanimous vote of Kingston City Council, the advice of Labor’s own Standing Advisory Committee, and over 8,000 formal resident objections.

Labor rammed through their developer mates Satterley's plans at three times the density our community can handle, all without proper flood mitigation, drainage infrastructure, or service upgrades. I will seek an immediate injunction, demand a State-Level Independent Inquiry into the Kingswood file and the corrupted planning process, and fight for this approval decision to be overturned. Dingley Village will not be sacrificed for developer profits.

Suburban Rail Loop & contaminated tunnel spoil

Labor’s Suburban Rail Loop means spiralling state debt, endless taxes, and CFMEU corruption. For residents and small businesses in Heatherton, Clarinda, and Clayton, it brings noise, dust, vibration, traffic chaos, parkland destruction, and severe health impacts. To make matters worse, Labor is rushing to begin tunnelling without disclosing where millions of tonnes of contaminated spoil will be dumped.

Clarinda, Heatherton, and Cheltenham must not become Melbourne’s dumping ground AGAIN. Labor has already used Heatherton to dump the Metro Tunnel spoil, creating “Mt Heatherton”. Will Labor make Heatherton the dumping site for SRL spoil too? Cancel the SRL, stop the contaminated spoil dumping, clear Mt Heatherton and end the tax and land grab targeting our local suburbs.

Tootal Road & suburban infrastructure

For nearly a decade, local families were promised the upgrade of Tootal Road in Dingley Village: promises made and repeatedly broken by former Kingston City Council Mayor, now Labor Party Secretary Steve Staikos. In 2025, as a Kingston City Councillor, I took decisive action and passed the motion securing a $10 million drainage and resurfacing overhaul; despite Labor councillors voting against it.

I have proven I will deliver for our local roads. I will bring that same determination to the State Parliament to fix long-neglected suburban corridors, including Ball Road in Heatherton, and ensure our local streets are safe, resurfaced, and can drain properly.

Ball Road tip – houses do not belong on old, contaminated tip sites

The Labor government’s so-called “Priority Projects Standing Advisory Committee” has decided that one of the oldest and most contaminated tips in Heatherton could be developed for housing, despite the Committee hearing evidence of the dangers from disturbing the site, including the risk of fires and explosions from methane gas in the tip site.

I will fight to stop the rezoning of this land and put an end to the possibility of this dangerous and inappropriate development going ahead, which would put the local community at risk and create dangerous housing that could result in another Brooklyn Greens Estate where residents needed to be evacuated due to explosive levels of methane gas in the estate.

Stopping illegal dumping in Clayton South

The persistent illegal dumping along Westall Road and across Clayton South is unacceptable and degrades our local streetscapes. Law-abiding residents shouldn't have to tolerate local roadsides being treated as refuse tips.

I will fight to install dedicated surveillance cameras in dumping hotspots and ensure perpetrators face swift prosecution and maximum fines. Enough is enough.

Grassroots sports & community facilities

Local sporting clubs are the beating heart of our suburbs. As Councillor, I amended the Kingston budget to secure urgent funding for upgraded kitchen and bar facilities at the Heatherton Football Netball Club. In State Parliament, I will continue advocating for compliant oval fencing, car park lighting, and dedicated netball courts for Heatherton.

In Dingley Village, I am actively pushing for new community basketball courts as part of Stage 2 of the Hawthorn Football Club facility. Our kids and local clubs deserve real investment in community sport, not neglected and unsafe reserves.

Local shopping precincts

During my term as a Kingston City Councillor, I secured an upgrade for the Westall Shops in Clayton South and moved the Dingley Village Shopping Precinct upgrade from a priority four to a priority one. Securing funding for parklets and an upgrade to the shops in Dingley Village is next on my list to deliver for our community.
